When should I change my tires?

*Most Frequently Asked Question*

Ontario's unpredictable weather can be challenging for planning your winter tire change; it's crucial to know when to make the tire swap. Use the 7-for-7 rule: the transition to winter tires can safely be made once there have been seven consistent days of temperatures below 7°C.  Conversely, switching over to summer tires, our experts suggest to swap them out once temperatures rise  or above 7°C for 7 days.

Winter tires are designed to perform best in sub zero temperatures.  Winter tread will wear SIGNIFICANTLY faster in warm temperatures. The rubber compound made for winter tires is designed to stay soft and pliable when temperatures are below freezing.
